Professor Itami has been selected as the Paul G. Gassman Lecturer at the prestigious University of Minnesota in the United States!
This is a highly prestigious honor, awarded annually since 1994 in memory of the renowned Regent’s Professor Paul G. Gassman, with only one recipient chosen each year. Professor Itami is the fourth Japanese recipient of this award.
This year, commemorative lectures were held on March 14 on “Synthesis of Carbon Nanorings and Carbon Nanobelts,” on March 15 on “Catalyst-Enabled Molecular Nanocarbon Synthesis,” and on March 16 on “Towards Nanocarbon Biology.”
