Graduate School of Science’s Overseas Dispatch Program for Young Researchers (Young Researchers Overseas Program in Science)

This program aims to cultivate researchers who will lead the future of natural science research in the fields of physics, chemistry, and life sciences by dispatching graduate students and young researchers to overseas research institutions. The target participants are young researchers under 40 years old and graduate students in the master’s and doctoral programs. They are dispatched for approximately 2 to 6 months with support from the Graduate School of Science. By gaining international and research experience abroad at a young age, we aim to promote career advancement as the next generation of researchers. This program is implemented as part of our human resource development strategy.

Joint Degree Program

In the doctoral program, as part of the Graduate School of Science, we have established an International Collaborative Science Program that allows students to obtain degrees from both Nagoya University and the University of Edinburgh.

NUPACE Program (for international students)

There is an exchange student program between Nagoya University and overseas universities with which it has inter-university agreements. Students can take courses for approximately six months to one year, experience Japanese culture, and enjoy a fulfilling student life abroad.

G30 International Program (for those who have received education abroad)

At Nagoya University, we offer the G30 (Global 30) International Program, which allows students who have received education under foreign education systems to acquire credits through English-taught courses and complete their studies. In the Department of Chemistry, we offer the “Chemistry Program” jointly with the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, where we accept these students in the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. We provide a lecture system based on small class sizes for students from various countries to cultivate talent that is recognized worldwide.

For more details about the program, please visit the Nagoya University website.

Exchange Student Program

Nagoya University has an exchange student program with universities it has agreements with. Through this program, students can study abroad without paying tuition fees at the host university or taking a leave of absence.

There are two types of exchange programs: long-term and short-term. However, since it takes about six months to a year to prepare for studying abroad, it is recommended to check the information on the Nagoya University Global Engagement Center website well in advance if you are considering studying abroad.
